1/- What to do in case of broken or cracked teeth?

A broken or cracked tooth can occur due to eating something hard or from receiving trauma to the mouth and may or may not be painful, depending on the damage to the tooth area. It is best to seek dental advice because sometimes without treatment, a broken tooth can become infected. If you are in any sort of pain, we suggest that you arrange an appointment as soon as possible to allow us to assess the area and suggest a treatment to ensure your tooth suffers no further damage.

2/- What to do in case of Toothache?

Toothaches should never be ignored as they most likely mean that there is infection reaching the nerve of your tooth causing you discomfort. If this bacteria is left untreated, it can progress to more severe damage and may require emergency dental treatment.
If you are experiencing a toothache, facial swelling and/or related fever, please make an appointment with one of our clinics in Dubai immediately so we can discover the cause of your toothache, and provide the treatment to relieve your pain. If you can’t see a dentist straight away, brush the painful area, try to floss and rinse your mouth with salted water. Applying a cold compress will help make the pain less severe, reduce any swelling or inflammation.

3/- What to do if I have lost a dental filling?

Fillings can fall out due to new decay, an accident, or chewing on hard substances which may occur if a filling is old or improperly placed.  With the filling gone, your tooth is exposed to bacteria and is an opportunity for infection to set in. 4/ How to deal with a Dental trauma or sporting injury?

A dental trauma from an accident or sporting injury will require emergency dental care. The sooner we can assess the injury, the more successful the healing will be. For example, a missing tooth if cared for can be put back into place successfully providing the right measures are taken right away : Put the tooth in milk, or your saliva and come to the clinic immediately, we have a 2 hours window to save your tooth. Broken pieces of tooth can as well be fixed back if kept in proper conditions ( milk, saline solution, saliva).
