Dr. Nazish Munir is a Specialist Paediatric Dentist with over a decade of experience in dentistry. She completed her specialisation in Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Edinburgh in 2018, where she was awarded the Nairn Wilson Award for Clinical Excellence. She also earned the prestigious Membership in Paediatric Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
During her training, Dr. Nazish gained extensive experience caring for children with a wide range of needs, from routine care and dental anxiety to more complex multidisciplinary cases. Her experience at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children Edinburgh further strengthened her ability to provide care for children requiring a more specialised approach.
Passionate about prevention and minimally invasive dentistry, Dr. Nazish takes a holistic approach to children’s oral health, considering factors such as breathing, oral habits, growth and development alongside their dental needs. Her clinical interests include tooth-preserving and minimally invasive treatments, dental trauma, growth guidance and interceptive orthodontics. She is also a Myobrace Practitioner and Certified MyoMunchee Provider.
Known for her calm and patient approach, Dr. Nazish particularly enjoys helping anxious children build confidence and develop positive attitudes towards oral health. She provides behaviour-guided care, with nitrous oxide sedation and general anaesthesia available when required.
Dr. Nazish regularly attends national and international conferences, has published in peer-reviewed journals, and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Education from the University of Dundee.
As a mother of a young child, Dr. Nazish understands many of the challenges parents face and values building lasting relationships with families. When she is not caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, and volunteering with animal rescue groups.
“The best dental care starts with understanding the child behind the smile.”
