Our home sleep study allows you to undergo a sleep assessment in the comfort of your own home using the WatchPAT®️ device. This non-invasive, user-friendly device involves wearing a simple, watch-like unit on your wrist, a finger probe, and a chest sensor. Together, they seamlessly monitor your sleep patterns and provide highly accurate data on your sleep health, which is sent right to your doctor.
Consultation
Your journey begins with a thorough consultation with our airway and sleep specialists, Dr. Laura Maañón, where she’ll conduct a full checkup, including X-rays if needed. During your consultation, she’ll assess your symptoms and complete a detailed questionnaire. If there is a high suspicion of sleep apnea, you’ll receive the WatchPAT®️ device on the same day for an at-home study.
Easy Device Usage
Using the WatchPAT®️ device is straightforward. After a brief explanation on how to wear and operate the equipment, you'll need to download a user-friendly app to your phone. The device records your sleep data over just one night. The following morning, your results are automatically transmitted to our specialist for review.
Expert Analysis and Next Steps
Our specialist will analyze the sleep data collected by the WatchPAT®️ device. This device is known for its precision and accuracy in detecting sleep apnea. Based on the results, we will discuss the findings with you, either over the phone or in our clinic—whichever is more convenient for you. Depending on the results, we will outline the next steps, which may include further treatments such as a mandibular advancement device or other interventions tailored to your needs.
