Originally from Ireland, Beibhinn is an experienced Speech and Language Therapist with over nine years of clinical expertise across hospital and community settings. Beibhinn graduated from the prestigious Trinity College Dublin with a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Speech and Language Studies and later achieved a First Class Master’s degree in Digital Health Transformation from the University of Limerick.

With her unwavering interest in the brain and its abilities, Beibhinn specialised in the assessment, diagnosis and rehabilitation of adults with stroke, brain injury, and neurological conditions. Before moving to Dubai, Beibhinn spent almost eight years working in Ireland’s largest acute teaching hospital, where she was notably appointed as the first dedicated Stroke Speech and Language Therapist within the hospital’s stroke unit, a testament to her leadership and clinical expertise in this highly specialised field.

Beibhinn has undertaken extensive advanced training in instrumental swallowing assessments, competent both as a FEES endoscopist (Fibreoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) and in the analysis and reporting of videofluoroscopy Swallow Studies (VFSS). Beibhinn is also trained in neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) techniques for swallowing and communication disorders, ensuring that her therapy integrates the latest evidence-based methods and technologies.

Beyond her clinical work, Beibhinn has a strong background in professional education within her field and is invested in nurturing the next generation of Speech and Language Therapists. As Practice Tutor between the years of 2021 and 2023, a role affiliated with Trinity College Dublin, Beibhinn taught clinical tutorials, oversaw the competency development, and conducted clinical examinations for all undergraduate Speech and Language Therapy students who completed their clinical placements in the hospital during this time.

Beibhinn is dedicated to providing holistic, person-centred, evidence-based therapy that empowers individuals across the lifespan, ranging from young children to older adults. Beibhinn takes pride in guiding her patients in their journey towards communicating with confidence and eating and drinking safely.

Beibhinn loves being a speech and language therapist because she gets to help people grow their skills, abilities, and confidence in the most important aspects of life: communicating with friends and family and being able to eat and drink safely and comfortably.
