Marelize Maree grew up in beautiful South Africa and pursued her education in dental hygiene at the University of Pretoria. After graduating, she gained extensive experience in routine dental care, deep cleanings, periodontal maintenance, teeth whitening, and implant maintenance. Marelize is particularly skilled in helping patients overcome dental phobia, providing them with a painless and reassuring experience.

Her passion for dentistry extends to educating patients about the importance of oral health. She believes in using education as a powerful preventative tool and has worked on numerous community projects in Africa. Notably, Marelize led a project that educated 8,000 children and their caregivers on good dental hygiene, earning the GHP Oral Health and Dentistry International Award for Excellence in Preventative Dental Health in 2018.

In Dubai, Marelize enjoys visiting the opera house, indulging her love for theater and musicals, and exploring the city’s diverse culinary offerings. Her favorite movie, “The Lion King,” resonates with her due to its message of forgiveness and personal growth.

As a first-time mother, Marelize spends much of her reading and podcast time on child development. She is also studying fashion, taking up sewing and design as a hobby. To stay positive, she practices daily gratitude and enjoys making braised short ribs. Coffee is her go-to for lifting her mood.

Marelize’s greatest indulgence is travel, as she prefers to experience the world rather than save excessively. Her guiding motto, “Ubuntu: I am because you are,” reflects her belief in community and interconnectedness.
